Creative Arts Pastor

 

Role Summary
We believe that the praises of God’s people have the power to reach across cultures, generations, and denominations. The Creative Arts Pastor will focus their efforts on developing others on honing their craft, bringing their best, and sharing their heart of thanksgiving and devotion through the arts.

Anthem Church is a volunteer-driven organization. A key responsibility for all pastor and director positions is to activate, equip, and empower the body of Christ through coaching and mentoring volunteer leaders to coach and mentor volunteers.

General Duties & Responsibilities

    • Work in harmony with Anthem leadership for the implementation of vision and direction of Anthem CDA..
    • Responsible for the successful execution of all logistics for corporate worship gatherings.
    • Recruit and develop leaders and volunteers across all Creative Arts Teams.
    • Oversee concept and artistic direction of all projects developed at Anthem CDA, including project management of Creative Team volunteers.
    • Promote and foster collaboration amongst staff, leaders, volunteers, and independent contractors on designs, branding, aesthetics, and avenues of communication.
    • Facilitate/coordinate all events, projects, and initiatives under the Creative Arts purview (i.e. prayer and/or worship gatherings, creative projects, merchandise and marketing, etc).
    • Work to grow and develop creative teams to offer support to various needs throughout the church (worship teams, production teams, etc for various events)
    • Empower creatives to take their skills into the marketplace/community to be “on mission” in their own creative endeavors.
    • Manage website/online digital presence and oversee that both design and content remain current, relevant, and effective.
    • Responsible for the effective management of all media and AVL equipment.
    • Oversee prayer teams and key volunteer leads, providing general direction and guidance for prayer team functions
    • Manage IT and systems support for staff: administer email system, PCO, and other software/hardware tools provided for staff.
    • Meet, pray with, and provide pastoral care and spiritual mentorship to the staff, leaders, and volunteers under the Creative Arts purview.

Qualifications

  • Agreement with Statement of Faith, Vision, and Values of Anthem CDA.
  • Walks in integrity and cultivates an intimate relationship with Jesus.
  • Engaged in community with other believers; serving, learning, and growing in maturity and wisdom.
  • Experience with systems in sound/video production, graphic design, and volunteer management  with strong conceptual skills and developed sense of style.
  • Strong team building capacity.
  • Ability to problem solve, course correct, and build simple, repeatable systems.
  • Exceptional musical aptitude and training.

Knowledge and Skills

  • Effective team builder and organizer
  • Experience in Word and Excel programs
  • Ability to learn and adapt to new software programming as needed.
  • Flexibility in an ever-changing environment

FLSA Status:
Exempt Employee

Hours:
40+ hours / week plus special events and meetings

Reports to:
Operations Pastor
