Here we are in a brand new season of life. With each turn and new day, we are doing our very best to navigate this season with integrity, grace, and compassion. We dearly love our church body and the community we serve and have outlined what we feel convicted is the best course of action moving forward

Here are our near term planned changes as we walk into a new schedule.

  • May 1st,  Staff return to office location.  Elders will meet in person after 5/1
  • May 15th, Communities of 10 encouraged (not required)  to gather safely
  • June 14th,  Anthem CDA Large Celebration

Please note that Anthem CDA did not close.  We temporarily suspended larger gatherings but did not cease to minister.  Also,  the basis of Anthem CDA has not changed.  We are still all about Jesus,  loving God, loving our neighbor, and making disciples.  We will gather together for the good of the community and the Glory of God.  Who we are has not changed.  However,  how we worship will always be subject to change and Covid-19 has driven some of these changes.

Throughout this seemingly bleak season, we have seen the Lord work through individual, family, and small group initiatives to walk out prayer, generosity, and community service.  We anticipate Anthem CDA will grow deeper from this time.

We are in good conscience, subjecting our right to large gatherings in close quarters to the health and welfare of our congregation and the community at large. We are also submitting our status as a place of worship to the governor’s guidelines for other large gatherings because the Boys and Girls club is a recreational building and falls under a later date for reopening. We made this decision for Anthem CDA to uphold our witness to the community. (Phil 2:4)

Finally, we pray as it is written in Colossians 2:7 “Let your roots grow down into him, and let your lives be built on him. Then your faith will grow strong in the truth you were taught, and you will overflow with thankfulness.” And from 1Thess 2:20, you (Anthem CDA congregation) are our glory and joy. We earnestly desire YOU to be healthy, fruitful, and joyous.

Grace and Peace,

Your Elders at Anthem CDA

Our call, as the Church, is to grow up in all aspects of our life into being more like Jesus. It is our vision to see a movement of people in whom Christ is at work in and through, in everything that we do.
